Inspired by the demonstration by Jason at the F11 Launch Party, I've decided to write this guide.
This guide will teach you how to change the design of your "taskbar" so that it looks like a Mac OS layout.
*Note: This guide is written based on my HP Pavilion dv2704TX, now running a F11 with the necessary graphics driver installed.
Installing RPM Fusion.
To install this package, you first have to install RPM Fusion.
It can be easily done with the following command.
| |
% su -c 'rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm'

Installing Cairo Dock.
To install Cairo Dock, you can use the following command:
| |
% su -c 'yum -y install cairo-dock.i586 cairo-dock-plug-ins.i586 cairo-dock-plug-ins-webkit.i586'
|
After installing this, you have to let it run everytime you boot. To let it run when you first boot up, go to System > Preferences > Startup Applications
Click on the 'Add' button. Under the 'Command' field, enter
Give it a name (It doesn't really matter what name). Preferable "Cairo Dock" so you know what it actually is.
Now, we have to remove the old "taskbar" at the bottom. Right-Click on it and click on "Delete This Panel". Don't worry about losing the configuration. It can be easily reconfigured.
Next, launch Cairo Dock. Applications > System Tools > GLX-Dock (Cairo-Dock with OpenGL) .
You have it. Right-click on it and configure to your heart content!!!
Just for the record, mine looks something like this:
